It is very fine and beautiful blue. You just have to tighten it a bit tighter or it will slide. It fits well and is sturdy.

After a long time I bought this for my 2.5 year old stallion. He does not accept the bit yet and he easily breaks halters. I have been using this for two months now and very satisfied, fits well, is sturdy, works fine and you don't have to use a bit.
