The kidney bag is very easy to use for the hind leg. It is difficult to lower the hoof neatly into the bag. As a result, they sometimes stand on the side of the bag and if it is not properly secured, they easily kick it out. It is a lot easier to use for the front legs.

If you have a horse that can do the dressing, it's a very good invention. Holds up very well when worn. (3 year old freshly laid gelding) Romping around in the paddock is no problem. However, the route to the paddock was always not good for the shoe. To be on the safe side, I secured it at the bottom with tape so that it doesn't rub through the asphalt.

Nice bag I thought the closure is good and handy, but unfortunately after using it once there is already a tear in the bag

Very happy with this hoof bag. Fits well with my old mare. Maybe I should get a size bigger for the other mare. It has wider hooves. Very handy that you can first tighten the string and then the velcro closures. In the box was also a trial bottle of Hoafsoaker and I was happy with that. Although some instruction about the amount of product to use would have been a lot more convenient. Now I didn't know how many drops to put in the water.
