After much hesitation, I bought this broom, mainly because of the rave reviews (and also because it was almost twice as expensive at the brick store). It is certainly suitable for all kinds of small corners, for sand that is close to the house and also sand that has been splashed on the trass window is easily removed with this broom, much more convenient than a street broom. But the wooden head makes it heavy and the work surface is not that big, all in all a bit frustrating to work with.
