Lift the saddle slightly at the back. Due to material, the saddle does not press on the back. But our very sensitive pony doesn't like the saddle "moving" through the material of the underlay. It bounces up and down a bit (with a heavier rider it sags further than with a lighter one. He now has a stiffer underlay, which is a bit harder, but because of that the saddle doesn't 'spring', he reacts better to that, but this pony is very sensitive and reacts quite violently to many things.
