Extremely useful
Since I discovered this method of closing the barrier, I only use it. This is great because if you hold a horse with one hand, you only need the other hand to lift the latch and your foot to open the gate. And to close it, all you need is a little momentum and it closes and snaps into place by itself. When installing the barrier, you can also add a slight inclination so that the door closes on its own, which is very safe in case you forget to have the barrier open.
