The elastic fits well so that flies cannot pass it and you easily overlook the fly mask. The mesh is fairly fine, making it less irritating to the eyelashes than with stiffer mesh. After a summer of intensive use, all 2 masks show larger holes in the ears where the gauze releases from the elastic.
