I use the sweat scraper in the summer to remove the water from my bangs with the smooth side. And when the pony is moulting I use the ribbed side to better remove the hair, which works great and doesn't hurt the pony.

sweat scraper is super nice to use, especially if your horse is in a huge moult, you remove a lot of hair with it
