The size guide for finding the right basket size is totally reliable, I took the smallest size for my shetland and it fit perfectly. He easily figured out how to eat with it and it didn't seem to bother him. To make sure that the basket holds well, I also bought the halter that goes with it and everything was held in place.

Nice muzzle that is really super in use. The only drawback is the quality. My pony has eaten through it in 3 months. The cutouts at the bottom of the mask are just broken ...
