Bought for my horse that has head shaking syndrome. Unfortunately no difference / improvement seen. The advantage of this protector is that both the end of the neck behind the ears and the part between the ears and forehead are "heated". The idea appeals to me, but the implementation is not great. On the side is Velcro, so you can put the neck protector around the ears. With a horse with a restless head (head shakers often suffer from that) it is not easy to close that neatly. there is also a long cord on both sides (a kind of lace) so that you can attach the protector to the bridle or halter. that is a hassle again. In short: A few things can be improved on design. I don't know if the concept works. The protector is not cheap.
