The gaiters do their job. They adapt well to the horse's leg and protect the pastern from mud. I have several pairs to change. So far I haven't had any problems with built-up heat. A good product for my horse who has sensitive skin. I can't say anything about durability yet.

I bought the size Small Pony (Shetland) for my 132cm pony. This fits perfectly on the hind legs, but it's too long on the front legs. I improvised a bit, I folded the top velcro and that's how it fit. It would be nice if you could get even smaller sizes, since there are usually no decent gaiters for such small ponies. Nevertheless, I can only praise this company, because for the price what you get is TOP! I bought the gaiters mainly for the back because my pony twists its leg on longer walks and it causes it to limp. The gaiters fit so well that this can no longer happen. The legs get nice and warm under the gaiters, but not hot! Perfect for my pony as she has problems with the cold anyway. All in all, I'm glad to have found these gaiters because, as I said, there is usually nothing decent for such small ponies.
