Excellent usable product. Really only for bare iron wire. With sheathed wires you will therefore have to strip an end.

good tensioner but awkward to tighten, it is good that the wire is not interrupted

You put them over the wire, clip on and you're done. It couldn't be easier. Wire does not need to be cut.
