We don't find the cap useful and we leave it off, it doesn't matter in use. We hang the balls at different heights, very handy and fun to feed hay for a change. Super firm ball. I think the price is too high, but on the other hand it is reasonable if you look at what you wear out of hay nets. We have been using balls for several years and have never worn them out. Too bad they are not a bit bigger, you really can't get more than two slabs of hay

The eating time is extended by using this ball. I've got two balls. With ordinary gaps and smaller ones. They're both good.

My horse immediately liked how it was put together! It takes a little longer to do so there is less boredom when she is in the stable. Very good quality and good size.
