Scratching post is very sturdy, it even stops when my maine coon is on it. He is a favorite to scratch on.

The cat is very happy with it! Easy to assemble, sturdy and high enough for a 'normal' size cat to extend completely while scratching.

Stands firmly and is greatly appreciated by two, now mature, good-natured males. When they were little, they were happy to be on top of it. with the ball of elastic the first few weeks played a lot, then it was ignored. Paal is now (after one and a half years of intensive use) to be replaced, but I want the same thing again. Easy to screw in and out to take with you on guest parties. Excellent value for money.

It is not exchangeable, that if one part is worn, you can swap the parts, which my previous post did, but well, that is a shame. He is standing firm and my cat is scratching a lot. Incidentally, I think that scratching poles have become considerably more expensive in recent years. I bought the old, slightly larger pole for 12.50 a few years ago. Let's hope that it will last as long.
