The three modes are: off, half current and full. Switch easily. Concentrates the heat on a fairly small surface. At the 50 W lamp we have in it, this fixture hangs on a height of 40 cm and one guinea pig can sit underneath.

Sturdy holder and easy to put 2 positions on if it is too hot you can lower it
