Rubber I had to grease a bit, it was stiff on the hook of the stirrup. There must of course also be some tension on the elastic. Learning is also fine.

Swear by these rubbers for the safety bars. They are so nice and last so long and best of all, they cost next to nothing.

Product does what it's supposed to do. I warm up the rubber first (a bowl of warm water), so you can easily attach it to the bracket.
