Too hard cheap saddle, toy saddle.
For our child great saddle for horse too hard. Fine as a toy saddle on rocking horse. All commodities are for money. This is not a bad saddle for 50 euros, but without stirrups, belts and girth, you better take one of the other starter saddles of 80 euros that come with those accessories. This saddle is light and low maintenance, but is probably less comfortable for the horse. The pads are really hard and do not absorb much of the shocks of the novice riders. Material looks cheap and wrinkles / wrinkles when used. Saddle size was important to us. The short back of our shetland / falabella does not allow a longer saddle. This saddle has no raised edge at the back, so our son of almost 8 135 cm still fits well on it. Either the seam on the saddle is crooked OR the eye of the tail strap is not in the middle. The finish is therefore not brilliant. To attach the stirrup straps, two eyes are attached to a loop on the saddle, instead of a sliding clip very high under those leather cover flaps. As a result, the buckle of your stirrup belt comes out from under those flaps, causing the rider to hurt his inner thigh skin on that buckle. Those loops should have been shorter and those eyes or sliders should have been higher or those flaps longer. With other beginner saddles there is a bucking strap or handle above the saddle, which is my personal preference. At the front of this saddle is a plastic molded handle, above the withers that is firmer with grip, but if you grasp that you put your hand between the saddle and the withers. As a result of which children's fingers are more likely to be trapped between the withers and the saddle by the horse's neck during jerking, rearing and bucking than with a handle above the saddle. Of course you should always make sure that there is space for the horse between the withers and the saddle, but I wouldn't fill that space with my hand.
- No raised edge behind
- Attachment for stirrup leathers
