I don't think the pad is well cut. All my saddle pads are cut a little "higher" at the withers. The pad under the saddle presses the saddle pad very firmly onto the withers. Or maybe it's just my personal feeling.

Helps a lot to keep the saddle in place. Best to wash every time after riding, after washing it sticks like new. I just put it in the washing machine at 30 degrees.
