Zinc works wonders in healing wounds that have already been enlarged (be careful, it dries out the skin! Use in conjunction with a moisturizing lotion!). I personally use it for scratches and injuries. This way there are no scars! Not suitable for horses that are sensitive to spray (noise).

Very effective on a chest wound because of the blanket which healed very quickly and my pony's hair grew back black. Really very good.
