I always make sure I have a set in stock, but they generally last a long time.

Easy to replace and is nice and sharp. With a thick coat it becomes dull quickly, but I think this is understandable. Ensuring that your animal is thoroughly clean in advance makes a big difference. I use a loose head for clipping my horse and another for my Maine Coon. Functions perfectly!
