The padding is adjustable which allows a better adaptation to the pony's back, our shetlands are visually more comfortable which is excellent. Especially since unlike classic bars, they clear the spine, perfect for Shetland competitors who want to compete in jumping or dressage. The padding is however quite rigid but it gets used to use. So we started saddles with simple shock absorbers and now we no longer need them, the saddle is made on the back of your pony. Please note that they are therefore not interchangeable.

Nice little saddle for our mini Shettie. We only didn't like the single that comes with it, so we bought another one. This saddle is perfect for our 3-year-old daughter.

The saddle is used by a 2 year old rider on various Icelandic horses. The saddle offers sufficient support, not just in the walk, and fits all of our horses so far. We use it with a thick pad because it is a bit hard and of course we needed a longer strap and additional holes for the stirrup straps. Overall, a full buy recommendation.

Also a great saddle to make a pony saddle. For more weight, you should use another sturdier saddle. Is mainly used here once a month, for the little fanatical young riders among us, for a ride through the woods.
