There are many discussions about whether or not to use hoof fat/hoof oil: it is only for appearance, it seals the hoof for moisture, it has no added value, ... I have been using Cavalor Podoguard for a little over a year now, but always in the way I have had to grease for years. First I clean the hooves thoroughly, then I make it wet, let it dry for a while, so that the oil takes hold on the wet hoof and then I apply the hoof oil (only on the outside). Especially in dry periods I find this a good method to prevent cracks (my mare goes through life on her bare feet).

Very good to use with the integrated brush. Gives the hooves shine and moisture. Good for brittle, dry hooves.
