I put this balm on the bit because my horse has trouble putting on the bridle. I had hoped that the taste of the balm would provide an immediate reward upon taking the bit. I haven't noticed any improvement yet. Horse breath smells good.

Very spreadable and easy to apply, mouth becomes nice and smooth and soft, no more dry corners of the mouth! definitely buy this again, better than effol's
