Waldhausen Girth Basic Black

This single seemed ideal to me, but due to a few points I would not recommend it. The material of the girth is very flexible and soft, which can of course be an advantage, but 2 disadvantages of this are that the pressure of the nylon straps is not distributed over the width of the girth. With me, the 2 ends of the girth also slide backwards while driving, so that the buckles lie on the edge of the girth or even exposed on the fur. With extra loops to put the girth punch through before it goes through the buckle, this could already be solved. Personally, I also feel that the metal attachment of the movable nylon straps creates extra pressure on the sternum (where the girth gives the most pressure when it is girth). On the side of the hull, the girth gives less pressure and these attachment points would therefore be more horse-friendly.

Single is of good quality. Because the buckles can move relative to each other, it takes some getting used to in use. Advantage if your horse puts his belly up when girths you can close 1 buckle. And then after a few steps put on the second buckle.
