The blanket isn't too warm and keeps the rain out really well. You can also put them on the horse if it gets a little wet. Horse dries well underneath.

The fly blanket with neck part does what it is supposed to do. It keeps insects away. Fit is okay. However, my geldings are not athletically built, so the Velcro at the bottom doesn't fit. A clear drawback, it could have been designed differently. And my one gelding is an extreme tomboy, the blanket tore right at the back at the seam to the hem. Thank God my mother patched it up again, otherwise it would have been annoying.

Our mare has been wearing this fly rug for 6 years now and is still intact. Then we bought a second one for our gelding and again very satisfied with the quality. Over the years, Rambo has even made improvements so that the horse is even better protected against flies (their belly is now completely shielded, which is very nice). It is an expensive blanket but really worth investing in. Our horses also regularly roll in the pasture and the blanket stays in place.
