This combination of houses and crawling tunnels really appealed to us. The tunnels are made of good wood and well executed but on the small side, even for our dwarf hamsters: they do not use them easily, only our youngest hamster when it was still small. The houses are a bit more sensitive to breaking in terms of quality and we wonder if that wood can get splinters off. It's funny that they are a kind of "walk-through houses". You can tilt them however you want. We sometimes use them as a feed house, they are still a bit hidden (they like it) and you can still see them eating (haha). The whole set as a whole takes up a lot of space in the cage, but of course depends on the size of the cage. You can easily combine a wooden willow bridge with these houses, for example instead of the wooden tunnels. You can also put the tunnels upright, then they are sturdy supports for if you want to make some height difference in the cage, which hamsters really like. So as separate elements multifunctional.
- As separate parts easy to combine with, for example, willow bridge
- Tunnels of solid wood and beautifully executed
- Worries about wood splinters if a piece of the house breaks off
- Quality houses less
