Nice in theory
In theory this would be a useful tool. In practice you constantly look at the hands and the feeling with the mouth and therefore the pressure you give is very different with the rein aid in between.

difficult to confirm, interesting measurement
The rein aids are very difficult to attach and it is absolutely recommended to use the supplied covers. Without it, you are bound to have prints on the reins. Up to 1kg you are still in the "green" so whether green is your definition of "light enough" you have to decide yourself. I think that's a pretty tough contact. (measured it with the hay scale.) It provides information but also influences your contact. I just have no idea how you could develop a simple meter without doing that.

Really nice
Not tried yet, but now I can see exactly when I have too much pressure on my reins. And how to solve that. I will use it during my lessons I am very curious.

Eye opener
Nice tool to gain an easy insight into rein pressure and equality on two reins.
