I bought three of these containers in the summer to put outside with water. Just to give it a try. However, quality is not meant for this. All three already broken in winter. Nice to take with you on vacation, for example. Not top quality but you may not expect that for that price. The plastic is rather "thin" and the finish somewhat sharp. (bottom edge)

Fits perfectly for small breeds and is super clean. The workmanship is stable and scratch-resistant.
